What is the ROUS Foundation?
The ROUS Foundation provides funds for certain veterinary expenses associated with the care of captive capybaras, through services provided by the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Its goal is to improve the quality and duration of life of captive capybaras, whether they live as pets, in small zoos, or in major zoological parks.
Veterinary Funding
Covers certain vet costs for captive capybaras, with other procedures considered case by case.
Learning Why
Funds necropsies to learn life expectancy, condition at death, and cause of death, including shipping from the U.S. and Canada.
Every Capybara
Supports capys in homes, small zoos, and major zoological parks alike.
